JUSTIN ~ FACE OF STONE

Who is Face of Stone, you ask? Theyre a band, and their website is here. Justin is their drummer. I saw Face Of Stone play at the Birch Hill on June 29th and was very impressed. Enjoy.

1) What are you currently up to?
- Currently our band (FACE OF STONE) is up to quite a bit. We have been trying to work on our first full length CD, but we have experienced some delays due to the opportunity to play with some big acts (SKID ROW, FIREHOUSE, etc..). We are also in somewhat of a rebuilding period, in that we are really trying to focus on writing new material as well as shaping the direction that the band would like to head in, both image wise as well as musically. Don't get me wrong, we still just go into the studio and write, play, and have fun, but we are trying to do it with more direction and vision. It is kind of an exciting time.

2) Your Musical Taste: What is in your CD player right now? What was the first concert you ever attended? Who was your biggest influence? (answer any or all)
- If you were to go into my truck right now and look in my CD player you would find six CD's (I know that because I just went out to see what I had in there). They are as follows: Aerosmith's new one (Don't know the name of it), Pantara-Vulagar Display of Power, Stevie Wonder-Greatest Hits, Sebastian Bach-His new solo CD, Bob Marley-Legend, and Tool-Opiate.
- The first concert I ever went to was Whitesnake. It was their "Slip of the Tongue," tour and it was great. I got to see Tommy Aldridge (one of my favorite drummers), and Steve Via perform on the same stage. Pretty cool stuff.

3) What do you like to do when you are alone? (this question can be as interesting or as boring as you like. )
- Alone time is good. It really all depends on my mood. It can be anything from practicing my drums, sitting on the beach, watching some porno, etc

4) If you were the first ever "president god" what would you outlaw and why? (please there is no need to be politically correct and say poverty or hunger for all i care you can outlaw inane questioning from fans)
- That is a great question. I would probably outlaw astro-turf in all professional sports.

5) If you could be anyone other than yourself -whether they be dead, alive, fictitious, it doesnt matter- who would you be and why?
- I would definitely be Tommy Lee back in the height of Motley Crue's success for obvious reasons (I would only want to do this for a couple of days also for obvious reasons).

6) Tell us ONE thing that is either embarrassing or little known about yourself.
- I am afraid of bugs, insects, spiders, bees, and any other type of thing that crawls.

7) Rant. Here at Spouzic we love hearing people complain and we love free speech so Question 7 is not really a question but rather an opportunity for you to complain, whine or bitch about anything on your mind. Go for it!
- Where the Fuck have all the Rock & Roll bands gone? I am sick of Korn, Limp, Lincoln Park, etc & Give me ACDC, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Ozzy. I need to hear some new Rock & Roll bands. I need to hear heart in the music I listen too. That's all I have to say about that.
